On April 21, the children gathered sprouted acorns in the forest. They brought them home and almost forgot about them, but … we didn’t give them a chance to do it.
As they had collected living plants, they should be aware of responsibility. On April 22, My daughter and I went to the forest for the soil. It was raining that day but the more fun it was.
The oaks were growing and gaining strength on our balcony for two weeks, and on May 12 we planted them in the forest.
The children took part in the planting, so they can now safely say that they have already planted a tree in their life!
And then, during the summer, we stopped by “our” glade to check the oaks. In June, all 19 trees felt good. By August, some oaks had lost their leaves (apparently, this summer was too dry) but many were still standing fine.
And now in September about 10 oaks continue to exist.
Then in May we planted maples as well, but the maples grow well in the forest without our help but for oaks to start living seems to be more difficult …
In Russian: 21 апреля дети набрали в лесу проросшие желуди. Принесли домой и почти уже о них забыли, но… не тут-то были. Раз набрали живые растения – нужно осознавать ответственность. 22 апреля сходили с дочкой в лес за землей. В тот день накрапывал дождь, но тем было и интереснее 🙂 Две недели дубы прорастали и набирались сил у нас на балконе, а 12 мая мы высадили их в лес. Дети принимали участие в посадке, поэтому они теперь смело могут сказать, что в этой жизни дерево они уже посадили! А потом, в течение лета, мы заезжали на “нашу” поляну проверять дубы. В июне прекрасно ощущали себя все 19 деревьев. К августу часть дубов потеряла листья (видимо, нынешнее лето было слишком засушливым), но многие все еще стойко держались. И вот сейчас в сентябре около 10 дубов продолжают свое существование. Тогда в мае мы высадили и клены также, но клены отлично прорастают в лесу и без нашей помощи, а вот дубам приходится сложнее…
